Century City Gutter Solutionists
Gutters for Century City’s condos and townhomes
Century City was a cowboy star’s ranch and then the 20th Century Fox backlot before Alcoa and developer William Zeckendorf bought about 180 acres in 1961 and started building. The first office tower opened in 1963, and Century Towers, I.M. Pei’s twin 28-story buildings on Avenue of the Stars, followed in 1964 as the first homes in the district. The Los Angeles Times Mapping L.A. project carries the neighborhood west of Century Park West to Beverly Glen Boulevard. ZIP 90067 holds about 2,600 housing units, 65.4% of them owner-occupied, with a median year built of 1980, and only about one in nine is a detached single-family house. Most of our work here is for condo owners, associations and the managers who look after them.
The towers mostly shed water through roof drains, so the gutters that matter here sit on townhomes, garden buildings, garages and houses under big street trees. The StreetsLA inventory for Century City is led by 185 London planes and 176 Indian laurel figs, with southern magnolia third at 130 and jacaranda and Chinese elm behind. Plane leaves come down in fall, ficus drops a little all year and magnolia leaves are tough enough to sit in a trough for months. NOAA’s UCLA station, the nearest with 1991 to 2020 normals, averages 17.73 inches a year, more than downtown, with 11.80 inches from December through February. A clogged outlet over a shared walkway puts that water right where residents walk.
Robinson O’Brien-Bours owns The Brothers That Just Do Gutters Los Angeles, and our base on Highland Avenue in Hollywood is a short drive southwest. In Century City and south across Pico in Cheviot Hills, our Solutionists form seamless gutters on-site, hand-clean and flush every outlet, replace worn fascia, fit BroGuard mesh under plane trees and ficus, and run downspouts into underground drainage where a courtyard, planter or garage ramp leaves no good place for the water. California contractor license 1140218, bonded and insured.

Your Century City gutter calendar
The Westside gets more rain than downtown, and nearly all of it comes between December and March, so we plan the year around that window.

Plane leaves and ficus litter cleared, outlets opened and downspouts flow-tested before the first winter storm.
- Winter · Dec to FebWet months
Peak season for overflow over walkways and entries, and NOAA’s El Niño Advisory makes a wetter winter more likely.
- Spring · Mar to MayBloom cleanup
Jacaranda and magnolia litter cleared and mesh added on runs under the heaviest canopy.
- Summer · Jun to AugBuild and replace
Dry months for replacing old runs on garages and townhomes and moving downspouts off shared paths.
El Niño 2026-27
Getting Century City gutters ready for El Niño
NOAA has an El Niño Advisory in effect for the 2026-27 winter. For Century City condo and townhome properties, the job is getting fall leaves out of every gutter and making sure downspouts discharge away from walkways, garage entries and foundations. Ask us for a pre-storm cleaning and downspout test across the whole property before the rain starts.

What Los Angeles Homeowners Say
“I hired The Brothers That Just Do Gutters to install some gutters above my driveway. The installer was Emiliano. He did an amazing job, didn’t take too much time, was very professional, and charged a fair price. I would highly recommend this company and installer to anyone.”
Posted on Google“Brothers Gutters were amazing. Their quoting and invoicing system was super easy to work with. Hannah and Rhys who did the back end and quote were super responsive. They gave us a really fair price and got the job done a few days later. Really top quality service and work!!”
Posted on Google“We had been looking for someone to install our gutters for quite some time and thought a handyman would be less expensive and more reliable. Were we wrong…”

Yes. We walk the whole property with the manager or a board member, note every gutter, downspout and drain outlet, and send one free written estimate the board can review. On larger complexes we can split the work into phases or set up a fall and spring cleaning schedule so the association does not have to track it.
Sometimes. Most tower roofs drain through internal roof drains, not gutters. But many properties also have townhomes, garden-level units, garages, carports or entry canopies with gutters on them, and those clog under street trees like any house. We look at every part of the property and tell you plainly what needs work and what does not.
London plane and Indian laurel fig, the two most common street trees here. Plane leaves are large and stiff and drop in a rush in the fall, and ficus sheds leaves and small fruit every month. Southern magnolia adds leathery leaves that do not break down. A fall cleaning plus BroGuard micro-mesh on the runs under those trees handles most of it.
Away from shared walkways, entries and garage ramps, and into a planter drain, the storm drain or the street where the site allows. On older complexes, downspouts often end on concrete where residents walk. We relocate them, add extensions or connect them to underground lines, and list each option with its price.
Yes, all of ZIP 90067: the properties along Avenue of the Stars, Century Park East and Century Park West, the blocks off Olympic and Pico, and west to Beverly Glen Boulevard, with Cheviot Hills just south. Managers and owners can call (213) 205-6598, or request a free written estimate through the site.
