Valley heat, mature trees and 1940s rooflines in Valley Village
Valley Village is largely 1940s and 1950s ranch and traditional homes on quiet streets between Magnolia, Chandler and Laurel Canyon Boulevard, with a lot of mature canopy overhead. Magnolia, liquidambar, sycamore and camphor drop leaves, seed balls and pods most of the year, and the summer heat here bakes that debris into a dry mat that blocks the downspout when the first fall rain arrives. Heat is hard on the gutters too. Old sealant dries out, seams open and painted steel fades and rusts. Many homes still carry their original gutters and undersized downspouts, and the low-slope rooflines on the traditional homes near Colfax send a lot of water to a few outlets.
Our crew forms seamless aluminum, copper and bonderized gutters on site with no seams to dry out, sized and pitched for these long runs. We hand clean and flush downspouts, repair sagging or leaking sections, and install BroGuard non-combustible metal micro-mesh so the liquidambar and magnolia debris stays out. Licensed, bonded and insured, California contractor license 1140218, with a local crew that knows the Valley.

Why the Brothers
Why Valley Village Homeowners Call the Brothers
Valley heat kills sealant on sectional gutters. Seamless runs formed on site have nothing to dry out and leak, which is why we recommend them here.
BroGuard metal micro-mesh keeps liquidambar balls, magnolia pods and sycamore leaf out of the gutter, so the first fall rain has somewhere to go.
Original fascia, low-slope rooflines and trim details on 1940s traditionals get inspected and matched, not covered up.
We look at the house, tell you what it needs and give you a free quote. If a repair and a cleaning will do it, that is the answer you get.

What the San Fernando Valley Homeowners Say
“I hired The Brothers That Just Do Gutters to install some gutters above my driveway. The installer was Emiliano. He did an amazing job, didn’t take too much time, was very professional, and charged a fair price. I would highly recommend this company and installer to anyone.”
Posted on Google“Brothers Gutters were amazing. Their quoting and invoicing system was super easy to work with. Hannah and Rhys who did the back end and quote were super responsive. They gave us a really fair price and got the job done a few days later. Really top quality service and work!!”
Posted on Google“We had been looking for someone to install our gutters for quite some time and thought a handyman would be less expensive and more reliable. Were we wrong…”

Yes, because the debris does not wait for rain. Liquidambar seed balls, magnolia pods and sycamore leaf pile up all summer and bake dry, then the first real storm in fall hits a plugged downspout and the gutter overflows at the eave. A fall cleaning before the rainy season is the one that matters most.
If it is one or two joints on an otherwise solid run, we can reseal or replace those sections. If the seams are failing along the whole house, which is common once the sealant has dried out, seamless replacement is usually the better value. We will show you what we find and let you decide.
A fine metal micro-mesh like BroGuard. The spiky seed balls sit on top of the mesh and blow or brush off instead of dropping into the gutter, and the fine leaf does not pack through. Open screens and foam inserts let the small stuff in and end up needing more attention, not less.
Yes. Many Valley Village homes have too few downspouts for the roof area, and the ones they have discharge right at the slab. We add outlets where the water collects, and run extensions, splash blocks or an underground drain line so the water ends up in the yard or street instead of against the house.
Yes. Copper suits the traditional and Spanish-style homes in the neighborhood, lasts 50 years or more and handles the heat without fading or rusting. We form copper runs on site the same way we do aluminum. If you want the look without the copper price, color-matched seamless aluminum is the usual alternative.
